Recent Articles about Golden Gate Gardening and Great Crop Varieties
February 07, 2010
Recently I have been interviewed twice for articles about gardening and the new edition of Golden Gate Gardening. The first article appeared in the New York Times on January 20th. It's about some of my favorite vegetable and flower varieties, and you can read it at: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/21/garden/21seeds.html
The second is a profile of me and has much information about GGG3. It was in the SF Chronicle (and on sfgate.com) on January 31. You can read it at: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/01/30/HO861BIV4V.DTL&type=homeandgarden
They used a crop of my photo of a winter salad with miner's lettuce in the Chronicle article. Here's the whole image. I have great fun putting together a salad from mostly weeds and edible flowers in winter and early spring. Here is how it looks before I add the dressing--a balsamic vinegar vinaigrette. Complete instructions for growing, harvesting, and making this kind of salad are in the new edtion of Golden Gate Gardeing.
